Course Information

Overview: The course is a 10.9-mile loop with start, finish and turnaround sections. Half Marathoners do one loop; marathoners do two loops. The turnaround sections make the distances come out right. The course has, at most, ten feet of up and down per lap. The turnaround and finishing areas are narrow so runners must watch out for each other. Traffic is extremely light, but will only be controlled on CR 234 (miles 2.3 to 3.3 and 14.7 to 15.7) so please watch for traffic. Pay particular attention to the directions at the split area (mile 12.7) and along the turnaround area on CR 173 east of TR 190.

CR 173 is narrow in this area. Everyone please keep to the Right. Walkers and slower runners still on their first lap may be caught be the course leaders on their second lap. A lead bicyclist should clear the way for them. Runners overtaking other participants should shout “On your left” to alert them and then pass on the left. Please be courteous.
20.1 Pass the first turnaround and keep going east to the second turnaround. Follow the directions of the course marshalls.
20.5 Second turnaround. The second turnaround has to be farther out than the first turnaround because full marathoners don’t do the start and finish sections twice and the first turnaround has been set up to make the half marathon the right distance. Go west on CR 173.

26.1/13.0 marks. Please be careful.
26.2/13.1 The Finish. Please proceed down the chute to collect your medal and follow directions of the finish line staff.
